Theology Dual Credit (via University of Mary)
Grade 12 0.5 credit
Prerequisite: Admission to University of Mary Dual Credit program
This course of intensive faith formation will feature an open discussion about Catholic life and living, examined in light of the responsibilities of Christian discipleship. This opportunity will be guided in the reading, reflection, and discussion of several great theological works that engage a wide range of topics and incite ongoing conversion. The course will be based upon the classical seminar model of education. As such, it aims gradually to initiate students who are familiar with a lecture-based educational style into a discussion-based style of learning. The underlying conviction is that careful yet vigorous dialectic among students, with the instructor’s guidance, is invaluable in bringing forth a particular depth of insight and understanding.
