Meet Mrs. Ortiz
Why I choose to work in education:
I don't have any children of my own so I went into the education field because I wanted to spend time around children.
Why I choose to work at SJPIIA-HS:
Working in the Catholic School environment has been a very pleasant experience. It is like public school but the children are more gracious.
My Mission:
I love to read; always have and always will. My passion for reading is something that I hope to pass on to the students I serve.
Something to know about me personally:
I enjoy reading, fishing, photography, traveling, going to the movies and the Dallas Cowboys.

I began my education career in 1999 teaching Technology Applications at the middle school level and then became a librarian. At the end of the 2021 school year, I retired from public education and was hired at St. John Paul II the day following my retirement. This is my 27th year as an educator.
