Student of the Week

The Student of the Week is Senior, Ann Ball; nominated by Mr. Edghill.



School Mass 

Next week, due to exams, Mass will be on Monday the 13th.  Mass uniforms for Monday, regular uniforms for Tuesday, and Spirit dress Wednesday-Friday.  Half day on Friday the 17th and end of quarter before Christmas break.

Congratulations to the Centurion Cheerleaders on their first TAPPS Cheer Competition! The girls received an Excellent Award as a team competing against other 5A schools in the state. Briannah Mejias earned 2nd Team All State and Amaris Vasquez earned All State Honorable Mention. Good luck to the Centurion Cheerleaders on their next competition UCA Southwest Regionals on December 18 in Austin!

The weekend before Thanksgiving, the swimmers participated in the CCISD Gobbler Games which had teams from Corpus Christi area, Victoria, Alice, McAllen, the Valley and Houston.  

Our biggest time drop of the meet and the season occurred in Becca Garcia's 500 freestyle in prelims.  Becca dropped 28.53 seconds in prelims!  Evan Thompson dropped 6.70 seconds in his 100 backstroke in prelims and Mia Elizondo dropped 3.49 seconds in her 100 breaststroke in prelims!  We had two swimmers make Saturday finals - Becca Garcia in the 500 freestyle and Mathias Kimmel in the 100 fly!  Becca went a little slower in finals in the 500 freestyle but Mathias dropped 3.10 seconds from prelims to finals in the 100 fly!  Becca placed 11th overall in the 500 freestyle and Mathias placed 14th overall in the 100 fly!  We are very proud of all our swimmers!  The results from the meet are as follows:
