Chemistry II was exploring the fact that the trees by the theology building have two different colors of leaves as the tree grows. We filtered the chlorophyll from both types of leaves and then ran it through our spectrometer to see the difference in results. Next semester we will use the spectrometer in a lab to measure the rate of chemical reactions. Good job, guys!

RAFFLE TICKETS
Fall raffle tickets were handed out last week to students in Theology class. Please make sure you received your tickets.
The deadline to turn ticket stubs and money in is Monday, December 6th. If you need additional tickets, please call the office. The tickets are selling very well, and some families have already reached their yearly obligation and are now helping to defer the cost of their tuition. The CCISD Class Meet was held this last weekend and the swimmers were able to swim four individual events. The swimmer that dropped the most time in one event was Larry Roberts in his 100 back with a 62.18 second drop in the event! Mia Elizondo, Isabella Perez, Michael Roberts and Evan Thompson dropped time in every event that they had a previous time in and Diego Ordonez swam in his first ever swim meet! Mathias Kimmel, William Lee Sang, Amaris Vasquez and Ava Vasquez swam the 200 IM - one of the hardest high school events. Mathias and William brought their times down from their previous time and Amaris and Ava swam the event for the first time. We are very proud of our swimmers and look forward to our next swim meet! The meet results are below:
