1) Junior Parents

If you have not already done so, please take a few minutes to complete this brief survey regarding the Junior Retreat, which is on Wednesday, Feb 10. Your responses will help us with all the planning and preparation. https://forms.gle/52zVyFQwkkFJVLgt5

Thank you!

2) Mass and Campus Wide Prayer

We are excited to announce that we will be starting Mass on campus with students during our 6th period homerooms on a rotating basis. Based on class sizes and social distancing requirements, we have 3 groups that will rotate weekly on attending Mass in the chapel with Bishop Carmody during homeroom on Tuesdays.

From Mr. Garcia

Many students and parents are familiar with Catholic universities in Texas, such as St. Mary's University, Our Lady of the Lake University, the University of the Incarnate Word, and St. Edward's University to mention a few. Both students and parents may be surprised when they learn about the vast number of Catholic universities across the country. For students who are still exploring their college options, an excellent resource is the listing of Catholic universities at the United States Conference of Bishops website. The Catholic universities are listed by name and location. The web hyperlink is rather long, so we provide it here: https://www.usccb.org/committees/catholic-education/catholic-colleges-and-universities-united-states#geo

From Ms. Lindstrom

ALL SENIOR YEARBOOK deadlines are Friday, Feb. 12, 2021

Deadline for Senior Ads has changed again! Many of us get paid on the 31st or 1st, so I want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to order a senior ad. The deadline has been extended to Friday, Feb. 12th. But, this is the LAST POSSIBLE date we can accept items or the yearbook will not be published before graduation. All pictures, messages, money need to be turned in no later than 2pm Friday, 2/12/21.

Senior baby pictures and quotes are due by Feb. 12th to Ms. Lindstrom. Pictures can be sent digitally to [email protected] or hard copies brought to the library. Quotes need to be submitted via Theology Google Classroom assignment.

Yearbooks are still on sale. Please visit the yearbook page on the school website: https://www.jpiihighschool.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=1787639&type=d&pREC_ID=2059673

Senior Leadership Retreat

Special thanks to the theology department and faculty members that made our Senior Leadership Retreat yesterday profoundly powerful and heartwarming.  We have an amazing group of faith filled seniors and I am so excited to see what their future holds.  In this age of social distancing and being so disconnected at times, the retreat was like an oasis in the desert.

Peace,

Fr Peter
