On February 20, 2007, Bishop Edmond Carmody accepted a $2 Million gift endowment for John Paul
II High School from CITGO Petroleum, that was presented by CEO Felix
Rodriguez from CITGO's office in Venezuela. The presentation was
attended by students, parents, school personnel, area dignitaries, CITGO
representatives and special guests from Venezuela.

another phase of our school's history in the making began. Ground was
broken for the new addition of a Math & Science Building. The new
structure will include science labs and math classrooms, plus a lecture
hall. This addition to our school is made possible by a generous grant
from the John G. & Marie Stella Kenedy Foundation.
