JPIIHS has partnered with the Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi Go Center Program, which is supported by Title V funding. The purpose of the Go Center is to assist students with the process of getting ready for college, admissions, and scholarship information. This year's Collegiate Go Center Mentors are Kelsey Cloud and Kyle Sauriol, both students at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.

Essay Scholarships

Students who like to write can put their interest and skills to practice by applying to essay scholarship programs. In many cases these programs are open to all high school grade levels. Take a look at the following.

Humane Education Network's “A Voice for Animals” Essay Contest - Multiple scholarships of up to $1000 will be awarded. To qualify you must be a high student (Any grade!) and submit an essay, previously unpublished, which examines either the mistreatment of one animal species or one cause of animal suffering, occurring anywhere in the world, and possible measures to reduce it.
